Environment is all Microsoft (.NET, VB, ASP, COM, etc.).


Summary

Responsible for defining test strategy and building the test plans for a release and ensuring that all test plans are fully executed. This individual must also define the data required to execute the test plans, must review the results, log defects and on successful completion make a recommendation to the Manager as to whether this release should move to production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for defining the test strategy for a release that ensures the functionality of the production system has not been compromised and the new functionality has been delivered and functions as defined in the signed off BRD
• Responsible for reviewing the test strategy with the QA manager and obtaining approval
• Responsible for define the test plans for a release
• Responsible for defining the data and required to test releases
• Responsible for reviewing and signing off test cases associated with test plans
• Responsible for reviewing testing results preventing logging defects
• Must be able to automate test plans
• Must be prepared to execute test cases
• Assist production support on an as needed basis
